Application:
Rebars are widely and critically used in construction projects. In various building structures, such as high-rise buildings, bridges, and dams, rebars are like skeletons. They are poured into concrete and work in tandem with concrete due to their excellent tensile strength. In beams, slabs, columns and other components, rebars bear tension and part of the pressure, effectively preventing concrete from cracking due to tension, greatly enhancing the integrity and stability of the structure, enabling buildings to withstand huge loads and withstand the test of various harsh environments, ensuring that buildings stand safely and reliably within their designed service life, and laying a solid foundation for the development of modern architecture.
Product features:
1. High Strength
Rebar has high strength and can withstand huge tension and pressure. This is mainly due to its internal crystal structure and chemical composition. In building structures, such as high-rise buildings and large bridges, high-strength steel bars can effectively support the weight of the building. For example, HRB400 (hot-rolled ribbed steel bars, yield strength standard value 400MPa) grade steel bars can ensure the stability of the structure when bearing the vertical load of the building. – This strength characteristic makes steel bars a key reinforcement material in concrete structures. Concrete bears pressure and steel bars bear tension. The two work together to greatly improve the bearing capacity of the structure. For example, in dam construction, the steel bars in reinforced concrete structures can resist external forces such as water pressure and earth pressure to prevent cracks and damage in the structure.
2. Good toughness
Rebar has a certain toughness, that is, it can withstand large deformation without breaking. When subjected to dynamic loads such as earthquakes and wind loads, steel bars with good toughness can absorb and dissipate energy. For example, during an earthquake, the building will shake, and the steel bars can deform to a certain extent with the deformation of the structure instead of breaking suddenly, providing valuable escape time for people in the building. – Toughness is also reflected in the impact resistance of steel bars. In some structures that may be subject to accidental impacts, such as industrial plants and warehouses, steel bars can withstand a certain degree of impact without failure, ensuring the safety of the building.
3. Adhesion with concrete
The ribs on the surface of the steel bar and other structures make it have good adhesion with concrete. When the concrete solidifies, the steel bar is tightly combined with the concrete and can effectively transfer stress. This adhesion is the basis for the joint work of reinforced concrete structures. For example, in components such as beams and slabs, the tensile force of the steel bar is transmitted to the concrete through the bonding force, so that the entire component can be coordinated.
4. Corrosion resistance (to a certain extent)
The steel bar itself has a certain degree of corrosion resistance. A passivation film will naturally form on its surface, which can prevent the steel bar from rusting to a certain extent. However, in some harsh environmental conditions, such as in seawater environments containing a large amount of chloride ions or in industrial environments with high humidity and chemical corrosive substances, the corrosion resistance of steel bars will be challenged. – In order to improve the corrosion resistance of steel bars, some protective measures are usually adopted, such as coated steel bars (anti-corrosion coatings such as epoxy resin are applied to the surface of steel bars), galvanized steel bars, etc. These measures can effectively extend the service life of steel bars in corrosive environments, such as in offshore platforms, coastal buildings and other structures.
