Chemical properties of aluminum rods:

1. Aluminum is an active metal and is easily oxidized in the air to form a dense protective film of aluminum oxide, enhancing corrosion resistance.

2. Can react with acids such as dilute hydrochloric acid and dilute sulfuric acid to generate corresponding aluminum salts and hydrogen.

3. Can react with strong alkali solutions to generate metaaluminate and hydrogen.

4. Aluminum can react vigorously with oxygen at high temperatures.
